Single #36 - Rain, Rain, Rain
Rain is angels crying. Thunder, angels bowling. And so on, and forever.
The best kind of rain is a midwest hot summer cold front heat-lightning thunderstorm rain, but a quiet rain with no thunder at all is nice too.
It rains more, and harder, on Tuesdays than any other day of the week.
There are more kinds of rain than there are kinds of people.
Things can happen in the rain that can’t happen otherwise.
All hail king Rain.
LYRICS
Hotrod Jack
Let the dog out back
Shot out through the gate
Now he’s never coming back
Chewed off his collar
By the side of the road
Now he’s running in the rain
What you think about that?
Rain, rain, rain
Comin’ down now
Rain, rain, rain
From the clouds looking down
On the roofs of the town
They’re covered in the rain
Yeah covered in the rain
It’s dry in the car
Right where we are
But everywhere else
Is rain
Rain, rain, rain
Fallin’ down now
Rain, rain, rain
Well the dam finally broke
Took away the good folk
Swept away the town
And its mighty old oaks
The bank alarm wailed
And it seemed kinda funny
The money’s all gone
And the sprinkler’s still running
Rain, rain, rain
Comin’ down now
Rain, rain, rain
Rain, rain, rain
