This one is actually a re-release of an old single, a cover of Johnny Cash’s Get Rhythm, that I did for a Mojo magazine compilation/tribute CD back in 2004, shortly after Johnny passed on. I’m definitely a small fish on the CD, but it was an honor to share disk space with Merle Haggard, Nick Cave, Robbie Fulks, and Giant Sand, among others.

Anyhow, it only ever appeared on the B-side of the Chug-a-Lug 7-inch that Loose put out sometime back then, and then somehow ended up on some UK bootleg CD that came out in 2015, which is how it made its way to Spotify, etc. For some reason though, it was never available in the US or Canada, and maybe elsewhere, so this release is just to sort that out.

I also found a small stack of the Chug-a-Lug b/w Get Rhythm 7”s that I’ve added to the Jawbone Bandcamp merch page for those who might be interested.
